Using the same proven technology as its big brothers, the Mosquito Magnet® Defender (also known in Scotland as the Midge Magnet) is designed for the homeowner with a smaller garden of up to 1/2 an acre at a more a affordable price. This machine is suitable for medium infestation areas.  If you have a high infestation area, you would be advised to buy the more powerful Mosquito Magnet® Liberty Plus machine. As with our other Mosquito Marget traps, the Defender uses the patented Counterflow TechnologyTM that emits a plume of CO2, heat and moisture while simultaneously vacuuming the biting insects into a net where they dehydrate and die. A 16 metre 12-volt power cord, supplied with the Defender, allows placement near the midges' and mosquitoes' breeding and resting areas.
